about the role
mknly interior design is looking for an experienced senior interior designer to lead design and delivery of multi-sector design projects of varying scales and project teams — ideally with experience in luxury hospitality, retail or residential design.

Experience: 10+ years in luxury hospitality, retail, or residential design
Location: Vancouver, BC + Calgary, AB
Hours: Full-time (core hours are 9:00am to 4:00pm)
Remote eligible: No
Travel: As required for projects
responsibilities
Lead and manage multi-sector design projects from concept through to completion, ensuring exceptional execution and attention to detail.
Collaborate closely with clients, consultants and fellow team members to deliver high-quality design solutions that exceed expectations.
Utilize your expertise in various design genres and furniture to inspire and innovate within each project.
Provide mentorship and guidance to intermediate and junior team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Lead the progress of design projects, ensuring timelines and budgets are met without compromising design.

your qualifications & skills
Bachelor's degree from a CIDA accredited Interior Design school
Successful completion of the NCIDQ exam
10+ years of experience in designing and delivering hospitality, retail, workplace or residential design projects
A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of projects focused on design
Proficiency in design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
Excellent leadership and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and clients
Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional design solutions
